5 Jan 2007: p. xviii, Picture Credits, and plate XIV, fig. 18 caption: According to Jennifer Bumann, source of the photo of the sons of John Shaw, the identities are "[back row] - Robert, Joe, Jonathon nickname 'Jot', [front row] - James, John, Will," as she recorded them when visiting her mather's cousin Evelyn Mason several years ago. Evelyn has the original glass picture. [Thanks to Jennifer Bumann.] This clashes with the identification of James as the man at the lower right as recorded in the History of Lee County, Texas (p. xviii), so I offer it as an alternative.
